Matt has been working with young people in Chicago since 2000. He lives and serves in the Little Village neighborhood on Chicago’s southwest side with his wife Sarah and his three children Bella, Benny, and Robert.

Matt began serving as a pastor full-time with New Life Community Church in 2006. For years, Matt has overseen all of the community development efforts in Little Village and helped build and grow the non-profit New Life Centers of Chicagoland.  In 2013, Matt became the Executive Director of New Life Centers.  What started as a small group of volunteers has now grown to over 50 staff and hundreds of volunteers walking with and loving on young people in Chicago.

New Life Centers services over 5,000 youth and families with more than 750 volunteers. New Life Centers does youth and community development work in 4 neighborhoods across the city including  Little Village, Humboldt Park, Brighton Park and Midway and seeks to connect youth and young adults to Christ and Community through mentoring, education, sports, street outreach, and food provision.

Matt is excited to continue to advocate for some of Chicago’s most at-risk youth and equip and empower others to do the same.
