Mark your calendar for ICHV’s 34th Annual Lincoln Awards Luncheon, which will be taking place onTuesday, October 23rd at the University Club of Chicago (76 E. Monroe, Chicago) at noon.
This year we will be honoring State Senator Don Harmon and State Representative Kathleen Williswith our Abraham Lincoln Award for their tireless commitment to gun violence prevention measures. With their leadership we were able to see the Gun Dealer regulation legislation go to the Governors desk – not once – but TWICE!
We will also be presenting our Community Empowerment Award to The BRAVE Youth Leaders of St. Sabina Violence Prevention Youth Council. These young leaders have been talking the talk, and walking the walk on gun violence prevention in Chicago for years and we are thrilled to honor their vision and commitment.
