Strides for Peace community partner I Grow Chicago’s Robbin Carroll named CNN Hero Finalist

We are thrilled to share the news that the incredible founder of our beloved Community Partner #IGrowChicago Robbin Carroll has been named as a 2019 CNN Hero finalist. Her vision and bravery are love in action that unleashes its own special power. Or as I Grow Chicago says: “…we do nothing alone. I Grow Chicago is co-created and powered by neighbors reclaiming and restoring their community.”

Words alone can’t express all the reasons she and I Grow Chicago deserve this recognition, so please watch this video and see for yourself. This is what it looks like when community is truly the heart and soul of the work to end gun violence, “heal the hood,” and create a world where all can thrive.
