Beyond the block: A community organization in West Englewood plays for peace on new basketball court

After Chicagoan John Ector served time, he built a contained basketball court – the first of its kind in the area – for the Englewood community. While Ector’s court is located at 6028 S. Aberdeen St., it is open to all, regardless of which territory they may hail from. This summer, I Grow Chicago is following his lead across the neighborhood with its Healing Justice Court, built by local men.
